Exhibiting Guidelines and Criteria

Collect aims to achieve a rich global representation of artists at the fair, showcasing work that demonstrates deep knowledge of material skills, cultural influence, and personal stories from across the world. However, we know that Black artists and artists of African or Caribbean heritage have been historically marginalised within the UK craft sector and continue to be under-represented at Collect. Therefore, it is expected that all applicants consider a balance of representation when putting forward their 2025 artist proposals for approval by the Advisory Panel.

Below are a few extracts from the Exhibiting Guidelines and Criteria, however please ensure you read the full document before submitting your application to the fair.

Extract: Schedule 1, section A: Eligibility

A.3.1.4. Presence within significant private collections

A.3.1.5. Presence within public/ museum collections

A.3.1.6. Solo or major group shows

A.3.2.3. Artist is not representing part of a wider commercial brand or business

In addition, we require a significant number of works displayed to be by artists who are exhibiting at the fair for the first time. The remaining quota of 20% allows the potential to present older/historical works, if wished but is not compulsory.
