About Collect 2026

We are delighted that you are applying to take part in Collect: the leading international art fair for contemporary craft and design.

For the 5th consecutive year, the fair will take place at London’s Somerset House, a leading cultural venue overlooking the River Thames and renowned for its neoclassical architecture and interiors.

Please take a moment to read through our brochure, which will give you an excellent understanding of the fair and the many benefits of exhibiting.

Collect 2026 will take place from 27 February - 01 March (preview days 25 - 26 February).

Deadlines

Preferential rate deadline: 10am, Monday 04 August 2025

To be eligible for the preferential rate (10% discount) you must complete the application form and pay the application fee, by the above deadline.

Final deadline: 10am, Monday 18 August 2025

How to Apply

We welcome applications from galleries, dealers, and collectives who represent high-quality contemporary craft and design by established artists and new talent. Independent artists are not eligible to apply, please see our Collect Open programme if you are an artist.

It is important that you have read and understood the Exhibitor Criteria before starting your application to understand the fair’s eligibility requirements and selection process.

Please complete all required fields in each section of the online application. You can fill out the application in stages, save and return to it.

For any help with using the application portal, or if you have any questions about the fair or criteria, please contact: collect@craftscouncil.org.uk

Fees

Application fee

All applications are subject to a non-refundable fee of £100 +VAT* (£120 inc. VAT)

Stand fee

Stand space is charged at £599 +VAT* per m² (see below for preferential rate)

Due to the varying sizes of rooms available at Somerset House, stands are offered in the following size ranges. Please be aware of the potential maximum financial commitment within each option.

  • 14 - 20m2 (£8,386 - £11,980 +VAT*)

  • 21 - 29m2 (£12,579 - £17,371 +VAT*)

  • 30 - 39m2 (£17,970 - £23,361 +VAT*)

  • 40 - 49m2 (£23,960 - £29,351 +VAT*)

  • 50m2+ (£29,950 upwards +VAT*)

*Current UK VAT is charged at 20%. Exhibitors based outside the UK are charged VAT at 0%

The fee includes:

  • Premium exhibition space at Somerset House

  • Allocation of invitations for the Preview days

  • Inclusion in the Collectors’ Programme (inc. tours and private events)

  • Inclusion in marketing and PR campaign

  • Full listing on Collect website, including 5 images with integrated enquiry buttons

  • Double page spread in the catalogue, a full colour print and digital publication distributed at the fair and beyond

Note on pricing structure:

To simplify our pricing structure and ensure equity among exhibitors, we are now incorporating the (formerly separate) catalogue fee into the stand fee. This change brings us in line with the pricing models used by comparable fairs, while ensuring a fairer distribution of costs – with smaller galleries seeing a modest saving and larger galleries contributing proportionately more.

We are committed to publishing a print catalogue, as with previous years, and look forward to showcasing all participating galleries within it.

Exhibitor Criteria

Below are a few extracts from the Exhibitor Criteria, however please ensure you read the full document before submitting your application to the fair.

Collect aims to achieve a rich global representation of artists at the fair, showcasing work that demonstrates deep knowledge of material skills, cultural influence, and personal stories from across the world. However, we know that Black artists and artists of African or Caribbean heritage have been historically marginalised within the UK craft sector and continue to be under-represented at Collect. Therefore, it is expected that all applicants consider a balance of representation when putting forward their 2026 artist proposals for approval by the Advisory Panel.

Extract: Schedule 1, section A: Eligibility

  • A.1. Evidence of international reputation of exhibitor (gallery, dealer, registered group etc.)

  • A.2. Prospective exhibitors must pass basic credit and identification checks prior to selection.

  • A.3. Quality, exclusivity and reputation of artists submitted for representation

  • A.3.1. Quality will be determined by:

  • A.3.1.1. Artistic expression and intellectual content

  • A.3.1.2. Individuality and originality of ideas and development

  • A.3.1.3. Excellence in making, process and skill

  • A.3.1.4. Presence within significant private collections

  • A.3.1.5. Presence within public/ museum collections

  • A.3.1.6. Solo or major group shows

  • A.3.1.7. Recognition through significant prizes or major commissions

  • A.3.2. Exclusivity will be determined by:

  • A.3.2.1. Uniqueness/ rarity (understood as works which are produced as a ‘one off’)

  • A.3.2.2. Editions, in most cases, numbered, signed, limited editions. (Batch produced works are not permitted)

  • A.3.2.3. Artist is not representing part of a wider commercial brand or business

Extract from Schedule 1, section D: Works to be exhibited

80% of the works on the stand must have been made on or after 01 January 2021. At least a third of this work must have been made in the year before the fair, i.e. on or after 01 January 2025. In addition, we require a significant number of works displayed to be by artists who are exhibiting at the fair for the first time. The remaining quota of 20% allows the potential to present older/historical works, if wished but is not compulsory. The curatorial rationale for inclusion of such works must be clearly outlined as part of application and can only be accepted on this basis.

Next steps

Submitted applications will be reviewed by our Advisory Panel. We will be in touch by early September with the outcome of the panel's decision. If selected, we will email you to confirm whether you would like to take up your place at the fair. Once we receive confirmation, we will issue you with a contract and stand plan. Your contract will be due to be signed and returned to us by the end of September.
